Smolasty returns with his first single of 2026 and once again reaches for a proven male–female duet formula. As Long As I Have You is a track without fireworks, but with a clear emphasis on emotion, closeness, and authenticity. After the massive success of Before the Sun Sets, does the artist stand a chance of topping the charts again, or is he simply offering listeners a pleasant, radio-friendly everyday song?

Smolasty & IMI – Póki mam Ciebie

Rapper Smolasty knows how to make hits. His songs generate huge numbers on streaming platforms—88 million streams for Big Eyes and 58 million for Before the Sun Sets with Doda—and that’s just on Spotify. However, it has been two and a half years since his last major smash, so a certain hunger was bound to build.

This time, Smolasty presents Póki mam Ciebie. Is it hit material?

Smolasty & IMI – Póki mam Ciebie

The new single premiered on January 23, 2026. It marks his first release of the year. His previous single came out on August 14, 2025, so some time has passed. Last year’s A cappella was well received, achieving solid streaming results. That track was a classic summer tune—light, vacation-style beat and lyrics in a similar laid-back tone. The biggest buzz around it was the collaboration with the rap girl group Modelki. Although Smolasty’s fans were initially skeptical, the final result satisfied most listeners.

Like A cappella, Póki mam Ciebie features a female vocal alongside Smolasty. This time, he collaborates with singer IMI. The first time audiences clearly saw them perform together was during the New Year’s Eve show on Polsat, where they performed Nim zajdzie słońce. IMI naturally took over Doda’s verses, and fans were divided over the reinterpretation. Due to the live concert setting, the sound quality left much to be desired, making it difficult to fully assess whether Smolasty and IMI truly matched vocally.

That brings us to January 23 and the release of Póki mam Ciebie.

Stylistically, the song resembles his collaboration with Doda more than his project with Modelki. However, it carries far less grandeur, even though certain elements remain similar. The chorus follows a comparable structure—a powerful female vocal supported by Smolasty’s complementary voice. The lyrics are constructed in a similar way as well, both thematically and structurally. The song revolves around love and closeness, using familiar comparisons and metaphors. This may simply be part of Smolasty’s signature style.

That said, Póki mam Ciebie is not a copy of Nim zajdzie słońce. The atmosphere is different—more intimate and grounded. There are no explosions, no fire, no overwhelming sense of spectacle. This time, the artists tell the story of a more “real” relationship, filled with devotion, spontaneity, and romantic playfulness.

From a technical standpoint, the song is very well produced. It’s clear that Smolasty continues to develop as an artist and pays attention to new details. Particularly impressive is his ability to collaborate effectively with other musicians. He knows how to adapt—singing softly in one moment, delivering sharper rap flows in another. In that sense, he comes across as a complete artist, something clearly audible in this track. Smolasty and IMI work very well together.

The beat itself is pleasant. There are no surprising or unconventional moments, but in this case, that may not have been necessary.

Song Review

Póki mam Ciebie is a very enjoyable track. It may not be groundbreaking—rather simple in its concept—but that simplicity seems to be its strength. Listening to it feels like witnessing a genuinely happy couple trying to make the most of life together. Not every song needs fireworks to succeed—and this one proves it.

Will it repeat the success of Nim zajdzie słońce? It seems to lack a certain uniqueness, something distinctive that the Doda collaboration possessed. Still, it may very well achieve strong results and receive significant radio airplay, because it’s immediately easy on the ears—something that is never guaranteed. The comments under the song are overwhelmingly positive, which bodes well for its future.

What happens next remains to be seen. However, judging by the growing statistics, this is a track you can confidently put on—it will certainly make your time more enjoyable.
