Patricia Kazadi – her music is Pop. She is also very popular. Her face will pop up while casually browsing the internet or channel surfing on TV. But is there something more behind the celebrity-like façade of her music?

Patricia Kazadi – the story

Patricia Tshilanda Kazadi was born in 1998 in Warsaw and grew up there. Her father is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and her mother is from Łuków. She is the first granddaughter of her grandfather, who has in total of fifty grandchildren. In her youth, she studied dance in the Tintilo group. At 13, she joined the Volt group, with which she achieved Polish and European vice-championship titles in Disco Dance. This experience was useful to her in the future when she took part in Dancing with the Stars in 2010 and Dance Dance Dance in 2019.

Movies career

When people describe Patricia Kazadi, they often mention her acting first, followed by her music. There is a reason for this – she has played in many popular Polish films. She began her acting career by playing in a TV series in 2004. We could see her for the first time in the series “Daleko od noszy”, where she portrayed the mother of a kidnapped child. Over the years, she has participated in various productions, with one of her most notable roles being Beata Dolniak in the series “Na Wspólnej.” Additionally, she played Jagna Nowak in the series “Ranczo” for three years. Her character was so significant that a separate article was dedicated to her on Ranczopedia, which is akin to Wikipedia for the show.

Her first film appearance was in the 2009 movie  Love on the Runway. Since then, she has starred in a total of ten films. Additionally, she has appeared in about a dozen television series and contributed her voice to the animated show “The Powerpuff Girls”.

Kazadi’s film roles are usually not very ambitious, it is her musical career that seems way more interesting. She started at the Fryderyk Chopin School of Music, with a first degree in Warsaw, and the Author’s School of Popular Music and Jazz, with a second degree, in the instrumental department, specializing in piano. Therefore, in the context of her musical success, one cannot speak only about luck – Kazadi knows music, she studied it for many years.

Her musical debut took place in 2002 in the program “Szansa na sukces” with the participation of the band Szwagierkolaska. She continued her journey in music with another competition in 2007, followed by her appearance in the 2009 music program “Jak Oni Śpiewają.” These experiences solidified her understanding of music’s significance in her life and motivated her to take the subject more seriously. In 2009, she was awarded the Heart Statuette of the Polsat Foundation for her performance of the song Spice Girls “Wannabe”. Two years later, she performed the song “Hałas” at the Premiere Concert at the 48th National Festival of Polish Songs in Opole. In 2012, she received a nomination for the Viva Comet 2012 award in the category debut of the year. It is clear – Kazadi made a striking entrance into the music industry.

Kazadi has released three studio albums and two EPs in total. She mainly creates music in the genres of Pop and R&B and Rap, often blending these styles with modern electronic elements.

Some of Kazadi’s songs have gained significant popularity, with millions of views. Her most well-known track, “Wanna Feel You Now,” has amassed over seven million views on YouTube, which is an impressive achievement. This song is part of her debut album, “Trip.”

Other activities

In addition to her acting and music work, Patricia Kazadi is very active in media. It is worth mentioning here that she has hosted various television programs, such as X-Factor or You Can Dance.

It is worth mentioning that Kazadi is not afraid to speak out on important social issues and has consistently educated her followers about equality. She aims to inspire others through her positive attitude. For example, she took part in the 2nd edition of the FORUM and GALA WOMAN POWER – The Power of a Woman, where, she received a special award for her activities on behalf of young women. Additionally, Kazadi addresses the topic of racism, sharing her personal stories and feelings on the matter.

Kazadi can genuinely influence her followers through her statements. She has a lot of them. On Instagram, she has over 260,000 followers and over 280,000 on TikTok. These numbers indicate that her content reaches a vast audience. Fortunately, Kazadi recognizes this impact and strives to use it positively by promoting good values.

She embraces experimentation and is unafraid to explore new areas. She has participated in numerous game shows and has hosted many of them. You could call her a celebrity but without any negative connotations. Patricia is an inspiring and captivating creator who produces music that is enjoyable to listen to.
