Anna Jurksztowicz is a Polish singer and music producer. Her fascination with music began at a young age, setting the stage for a rich and inspiring artistic career.

Anna Jurksztowicz was born on August 5, 1963 (60 years old) in Szczecin. She began her musical journey in 1975 by joining the early music vocal ensemble Musicus Poloniensis. Over the next five years, she demonstrated her talent and passion for music together with the group. From 1980 to 1984, she was a vocalist with the Szczecin-based band Music Market, which specialized in gospel and spiritual music.

Throughout her artistic career, she had the opportunity to collaborate on stage and in recordings with many talented musicians, including the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra conducted by Zbigniew Górny and the band Sami Swoi. The 1980s marked a period when she performed with the band Bolter, gaining widespread recognition. Songs such as “Jak uwierzyć” and “Zostań, zaczekaj” helped establish Anna Jurksztowicz as a gifted and memorable artist.

Anna Jurksztowicz – successes

Anna Jurksztowicz did not limit her talent to Poland alone. She represented her country at prestigious music festivals around the world. In 1985, she performed as a soloist at the 22nd National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, where she won first prize in the Premieres competition for her performance of “Diamentowy kolczyk.” She went on to achieve further success at festivals in Dresden, Curaçao, Jūrmala, Karlshamn, Syracuse, Istanbul, and Cairo.

Children’s hits and film soundtracks

Years ago, the artist won the hearts of young audiences with the song “Zima lubi dzieci,” which remains one of the most recognizable children’s hits in Poland. Anna Jurksztowicz also became closely associated with cinema, recording songs for films and television series such as:

  • “W pustyni i w puszczy”,
  • “Puchatkowego Nowego Roku”,
  • “Prosiaczek i przyjaciele”,
  • “Kubuś i Hefalumpy”,
  • “Czułość i kłamstwa”,

In addition to performing on stage, the artist has also achieved success as a music publisher and producer. Her publishing company, Si Music, initiated the album series “Modern Classics from Poland,” which promotes the work of contemporary composers.

In September 2020, she released the album “Jestem taka sama,” commemorating 35 years of her artistic career. The album was promoted with singles such as “Kochanie, ja nie wiem,” recorded together with singer Andrzej Piaseczny, and the title track, which she performed during the Premieres competition at the 57th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.

In the spring of 2022, the singer took part in the 16th edition of the popular Polsat TV entertainment show “Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo,” in which talented participants impersonate well-known artists, recreating their style and vocals.
