Cinephiles have been waiting for the premiere for about 1,5 year. Everybody has been thinking about the last Daniel Craig’s performance. They wanted to see the best film production ever. The cost reached 287 million dollars. That is the reason why the expectations for special effects were so high. Viewers were also curious how Rami Malek played a role of Bond’s opponent. They were compareing him with Mads Mikkelsen from ‘Casinon Royale’. Then, theOctober came, alongside with the premiere of ‘No Time to Die’ in Poland. Most people realized the movie didn’t meet their expectations.
007 Agent has already been a retired man. He can afford travelling through Italy with a beautiful woman. Bond has fallen in love and is convinced that his happiness will last forever. Then, everything becomes more complicated. When a group of bandits attack him, he suspects his beloved woman to be a reason of the incident. At the same time viwers are getting to know the main antagonist, who decided to spread a deadly virus all over the world (you have to admit a screenwriter must have been brave to create such plot). James Bond knows what he has to do. A spy gives up his retirement to look for a person who is a threat for the population.
Where is self-mockery?
The plot is definitely not consistent. An introductory part of the movie lasts about 40 minutes. Only then the story becomes more dynamic. There are explosions, chases and farewell scenes. The most spectacular element is the moment when the banquet in Cuba is presented. However, after that the plot is dominated by the monotony again. There are many discussions, but almost no action. The other productions from James Bond series are filled with intelligent humour and subtle self mockery. A viewer might miss those elements during watching the movie. Dialogues sound unnatural, as well. Maybe everything was planned this way to highlight the imminent danger?
Computer game template
That is the aspect that has not appeared in the previous film productions. Action scenes look so unreal, that a viewer might see a similarity to computer games, like ‘Call of Duty’, ‘Counter-Strike’, Medal of Honor’. Every time James Bond seems to be immortal. The famous agent is constantly showing up in front of an armed opponent, staying untouched by bullets and grenades. It works like the game, in which a gamer cheats. After typing a special code he truly might be immortal. Bond behaves the same way in ‘No Time to Die’.
James Bond series probably has never been realistic. The main character was supposed to give the impression of a superhero. It is not surprising his skills are impressive. Viewers have even been awaiting for seeing the famous hero, great plot and subtle erotic scenes. However, this time James Bond has exceeded the probability limit. There are too many fortuities and inconsistencies. Not everyone will accept a big number of sentimental scenes. You can see James Bond who is in love, or even James Bond who is crying. Nevertheless, outburst of emotions might seem unfounded.
Cast saves the quality
Danel Craig works perfectly in the role of 007 Agent. The actor’s adolescence has passed a long time ago, however, he is still handsome, muscular, elegant. A lot of ladies stare at him with delight. James Bond’s partners also were presented as beautiful, intelligent women. Moreover, the cast consists of other great actors. Rami Malek plays a character of Lucifer Safin – the rival of 007 Agent. Ralph Fiennes performs as M, Ben Whishaw – as a quartermaster. There are also Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz and Ana de Armas. Léa Seydoux plays a role of main character’s beloved woman. You might be interested in watching the movie in the cinema. Nevertheless, you will not be delighted.
Daniel Craig’s last performance
Now we are waiting for the next part of the story. This time, the role of 007 Agent will not be played by Daniel Craig. Film critics presume the future James Bond might be a blackskin man or even a woman. This idea would probably be an interesting solution because of the performance of a woman in ‘No Time to Die’. She has played a role of 007 Agent, what has turned out great. Let us hope the pandemy will not make the production process slower.
