The album Wszystko to czego nie da się powiedzieć was announced with lofty words. On the Internet, one can read that it is ‘a kaleidoscope in which catchy pop intertwines with hip-hop, classical music with modern electronics, and the words of a 19th-century poet reflect contemporary longings’. However, does the album really sound good?

Kasia Moś and the album Wszystko to czego nie da się powiedzieć

Wszystko to czego nie da się powiedzieć is Kasia’s fourth solo album. It was released on November 15, 2024, two years after the previous one, Karin Stanek. In 2022, Moś presented an album containing her interpretations of classics such as ‘Autostop’, ‘Chłopiec z gitarą’ and ‘Malowana lala’. And this time, the vocalist did not disappoint with her ingenuity.

In the previous album, Kasia Moś decided to pay tribute to Karin Stanek (a Polish rock and roll singer from the 50’ and 60’). This time she decided to celebrate her own musical career. This album is a summary of her work to date. It presents the diversity of her musical interests and collaborations, and is a melodic note of her experiences that shaped her as a singer and created her unique style. The singer herself says the following about the new album:

This album is a clasp that sums up an extremely active, sometimes even madly rushed stage of my life. Choosing songs, most of which are already well-known to listeners, I felt like a teenage girl recording a compilation on a cassette tape to listen to with friends at a party or alone – with headphones on, in the dark, when you want to remember beautiful moments’.

These words sound very nice, but does the album itself sound just as good?

Wszystko to czego nie da się powiedzieć – a review

The sound

On this album, Kasia Moś presents 13 tracks with a mixture of different sounds. The artist does not focus only on one musical genre, but she plays with music, combining different styles and sounds.

Mostly one can hear pop, but it is different in every song – some tracks are more lively, others calm, even melancholic. There are compositions drawing from classical or soul music. Kasia Moś presents a wide range of musical inspirations – on the album one will find several live tracks, dominated by classical arrangements of her songs. The vocalist also rapped, what additionally diversifies the album.

One may get the impression that all the big announcements confirm the sound of the album. Listening to it wakes sublime emotions that accompany the listener throughout the entire album – after the first track, one can feel that this is a large project, perhaps the most important in the artist’s career.

Kasia Moś – Mimi

All of this makes the album unique and definitely worth paying attention to. However,  it may be demanding for everyday listening. The atmosphere created by the music, although unusual, may not fit prosaic situations, such as commuting by bus. The album should be perceived a bit like jazz – it requires concentration, allows you to enjoy the sounds and discover interesting compositions. It is not music for casual listening in the background.

The lyrics

Stories on the album treat about love, loss, searching for oneself and attempts to find meaning in everyday chaos. The lyrics are connected by the thread of an emotional journey – from reflection on the past, through the fight for relationships, to accepting the reality and hope for the future.

Although the songs touch on various topics, several leading motifs can be noticed. The theme of love relationships and their various faces appears particularly often – from romantic infatuation, through attempts to save a relationship, to painful breakups. Love is presented as an intense but fleeting feeling. Many songs refer to a sense of lack, the past and lost reality. In all of this, the lyrical subject asks herself existential questions, trying to find her way in reality after a loss or difficult experiences. The songs not only sound ‘deep’ but their meaning is multidimensional.

In technical terms, the production is at a very high level. This aspect of the album is worth praising, although it was to be expected in the context of Kasia Moś work.

Opinion about the album

Wszystko to czego nie da się powiedzieć  is a really good album, full of wonderful sounds. Listening to it is not necessarily easy, but this is its strong point. Focusing on each sound becomes an intriguing adventure, evoking many emotions in the listeners.

Although Kasia Moś experiments with different sounds, she does great in each of them. Personally, I like the calmer songs the most, especially those in which she is accompanied by a piano – this instrument blends perfectly with her voice. However, the more joyful and dynamic compositions also sound great.

Kasia Moś – Płynę

All the guest-vocalists featured on the album present very well. I liked Jarecki the most in the song ‘Dobre Moce’, where he creates a perfectly harmonious duet with Kasia. One can also hear him in the song ‘Femme Fatale’ – and he does great there too.

Music videos were created for nine of the songs from the album. There are so many of them that it would be difficult to describe each one individually. So I will limit myself to a simple statement – they all look really good. Some are less successful, others much better, but in overall they maintain a high production level. It is worth watching all of them, because they are diverse and perfectly reflect the atmosphere of the individual songs. However, I liked the video for ‘Płynę’ the most – full of beautiful shots that make not only the song itself artistic, but also its visual layer.

This is a really good album. Despite the variety of sounds, it is coherent and definitely worth checking out if someone hasn’t listened to it yet.
